A. Person Responsible
With this privacy policy, we are informing you of the collection, processing, and use of your personal data by Peregrine Technologies GmbH, Saarstraße 20a, 12161 Berlin, entered in the Commercial Register under HRB 203120 B (“Peregrine.ai”).
B. Collection, Processing, and Use of Your Personal Data
1. Principles
Peregrine.ai is a software and data solution provider in the domain of mobility.
Peregrine.ai uses so-called test vehicles to develop, enhance, test, and validate camera based perception systems, advanced telematics systems, AI-driven mobility solutions, road safety technologies, driver information systems, convenience features, and other services. In the specially marked test vehicles, data recordings are made using sensors, measuring equipment, and cameras.
The processing of your personal data occurs as part of recording and analyzing video and sensor data in real-world traffic conditions. This may affect individuals and objects (such as vehicles) in proximity to our specifically marked test vehicles during their operation:
The purpose of this data processing is to enhance safety, improve compliance with road regulations, and prevent accidents. The data we collect is crucial for achieving these goals and is securely stored in a protected database for further development, validation, and improvement of our systems.
By analyzing this data in the context of real-world driving conditions, Peregrine.ai aims to improve the safety and reliability of its products. This includes Video Telematics and related technologies necessary to support safe, lawful participation in public road traffic.
In addition, the video data is used to verify the functionality of our perception solutions. Processing environmental information, such as road conditions, obstacles, and other road users, is essential to ensure the system responds correctly in real-time.
Peregrine.ai will not identify individuals in the data sets at any time.
2. Data Categories and Purposes for Processing
For the purposes of developing, testing, and validating Peregrine.ai’s advanced telematics systems and AI-driven technologies, and to carry out necessary quality assurance measures, we collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Video footage of road users, including vehicles and pedestrians,
- Vehicle license plates and other identifying markings,
- Text from signage in the environment, such as store signs and street signs,
- Additional sensor data, including GPS location and proximity to other vehicles or objects.
This data is used to ensure the effective functioning of our systems and to support the safe, compliant operation of our vehicles in real-world traffic. Additionally, some of this data may be pseudonymized and labeled for machine learning purposes, as part of our ongoing commitment to improving our technologies through the responsible use of data.
3. Data Recipients
Access to your data within Peregrine.ai is strictly limited to personnel involved in the development and validation of our systems. Only authorized individuals who need this data to fulfill their roles will have access to it.

If any data transfer occurs to recipients located outside the European Union or European Economic Area (“third countries”), Peregrine.ai ensures that appropriate safeguards, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses, are in place to protect your personal data. Additionally, for machine learning purposes, Peregrine.ai may share pseudonymized data with trusted third-party providers to facilitate labeling and data analysis tasks.
