Peregrine is a Berlin-based AI tech start-up improving road safety and minimizing transportation CO2 emissions in cities. Therefore, we create a new quality of information from street-level video data by deriving context from traffic scene imagery. The role

We are looking for a working student or intern technical Product Owner to work cross-functionally with our product, technology, and design teams. You will execute on product-focused decisions aligned with our product strategy, in close collaboration with our Chief Product Officer. Managing stakeholder communication, collecting regular feedback from clients, drafting new hypotheses as well as building new pro­to­types represent some of your various tasks with us.

As a working student Product Owner with Peregrine, you will take on a lot of responsibility, enjoy the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, and shape the future of the company with your individual profile.

Your responsibilities

  • Own the technical product requirements and work closely with the CPO to understandably present our customer’s needs to our developers.
  • Support the product team in discovering new areas for growth through quantitative search, UX studies, market research.
  • Collaborate with the sales and project teams to document and track product feature and functionality requirements.
  • Set, implement and track quantitative measures for product performance.
  • Prepare product meetings and always have an overview about where we are in the development cycle.
  • Quickly develop and test prototypes in close collaboration with the project and UX team.

Your Profile

  • You are pursuing a Master’s degree in STEM (or a related technical field).
  • You have exper­i­ence through related projects, intern­ships and/or work­ing stu­dent pos­i­tions (e.g. Pro­ject Man­age­ment or Tech­nical Product Own­ing).
  • You have a solid under­stand­ing of concepts such Design Thinking or Lean Startup.
  • You know how to trans­late busi­ness require­ments into the­or­et­ical and tech­nical con­cepts and you have great com­mu­nic­a­tion skills.
  • You have strong organ­isa­tional skills and can inde­pend­ently driv­e your own pro­jects.
  • You feel com­fort­able with Python for basic data ana­lysis and data pro­cessing tasks.
  • You are a quick learner and find it easy to assess com­plex prob­lems, which you solve in a struc­tured and prag­matic man­ner.
  • You are flu­ent in Eng­lish and have excellent communication skills.

Additional nice-to-have skills that will be an advantage:

  • You have knowledge in tasks tracking and knowledge sharing tools such as Redmine, Confluence, Jira, Trello or similar.
  • You have some experience with agile software development using machine learning concepts, computer vision algorithms, android mobile development or embedded systems.
